3rd Trimester or BTDT mom's ?
Hi, I went for my weekly ultrasound today and the doctor asked me if I am having contractions. I told him, "No, I'm just having cramps like when I get my period." He said "Those are contractions". I was surprised because I'd heard contractions have to be a tightening, rhythmic sensation and these just feel like cramps. Anyone else have a similar experience? (I am 38 weeks)

That is interesting. I have been havinmg the AF-like cramps almost my whole PG & my dr never made reference to them as contractions. She actually told me it is the uterus stretching, not contracting

Me too... but again.. We are apparently having the "same" pregnancy.
I have heard that AF cramp like symptoms near your EDD are actually a sign of going into labor.
