Bikram Yoga
Hi, I know I can just google this but I figured I'd post it because I'd like more personal responces. I currently practice at the hot yoga studio in Massapequa and have been to the Rockville Centre location once along time ago, but I'm curious to know if there are other studios nearby and if so, do you like them, etc? I also live in Massapequa. I just really enjoy experiencing different teaching styles, because I feel I learn more this way so this is the main reason why I am asking! Thanks !

the studio is located in woodbury. bikram style yoga is a series of hatha poses done in a heated room. we do our own flow of poses in a heated room as well, but your never going to have the same exact class twice!
come see us there! the owner of this studio has trained many of the other studio owners!! and i teach there too!!

I'm a regular at HYM too but have heard a lot of good things about the studio the PP mentioned.
I haven't really heard of any others in this area. I know there's a place in Lindenhurst on Montauk Hwy that offers a variety of styles........I've never been though. The name escapes me, if I think of it I will come back and post.

great studio! i practiced there a few times, and loved it. but it was too far for me.
there is another place in RVC but not sure they still practice there. it's in the CATS building on Maple.
there is another one on Atlantic in Freeport called Breath & Flow - not sure if they call it Bikram, and they don't make it as hot as other studios.

There's also a place behind the Acura dealership in Wantagh upstairs in one of the buildings that does hot yoga and (I think) pilates.
I've never been there so I can't give a rec but pass it frequently.
The place in Lindenhurst is called "Body Awareness".
Also there's a poster on here who I know is a yoga instructor in several studios on the island........maybe FM her for a rec.
Her screenname is MrsB-07.
