Daycare Moms
How does $53 a day sound? High? Low?
That is a 9 hour day and includes breakfast, lunch and a snack.
What do you think?

Its great. We doinhome and its $50. He gets breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack.

Sounds great. I pay $175 per day for the twins (so just under $90 per day each) at a chain center.

Sounds great. I pay $85 per kid per day for 10.5 hours (with a twin discount) and I provide all meals, they provide snacks. They go to a center.

we are paying $70 per day for a small in home group daycare  8-6, 2 meals, 2 snacks, milk etc.

I think that rate is pretty good for Long Island.
In NJ, I pay $42/day for 10 hours and 2 snacks (lunch is 3.5/day extra) for DS fulltime. That's on the lower end.
At the Primetime chain here (also in LI), the rate is closer to $60-70/day for a fulltime schedule depending on how many hours are needed...

compared to the $79 a day I pay for DS 21mo, thats a steal. DS daycare also includes all meals/snacks.

I think thats average. I own and run a group family daycare in Bayside, Queens.
I charge $950/month. Which on a month like this woth 23 school days comes out to $41/day. I provide breakfast, lunch, 2 snacks a day and milk.
