new to board: secondary infertility

Hi ladies,

I'm new to the board, but not to the journey. I have a two year old son that I conceived with very few issues. My husband and I have been trying for our second for a year now. Due to my age (38) we started seeing an RE several months ago. Three IUI's and no BFPs later, we are scheduled to start IVF during my next cycle. For whatever reason, I could handle the IUI's, but i'm having a rough time with even thinking about IVF. I'm slightly undereducated about IVF, and very nervous. Nervous about the meds, Nervous it won't work, nervous about multiples, anxious as all get out about the cost (nothing is covered). I guess I could just use some feedback, and support. Thanks for reading.

I am also dealing with secondary infertility, we have a 3 1/2 yr old. We have been trying for 1 1/2 yrs with failed IUI's and 1 failed IVF, I am in the middle of a FET right now. If you have any questions feel free to FM me!

Hi there - we are dealing with secondary infertility as well! It's very frustrating but at the time I think we are so fortunate to have our little ones to help us thru these difficult times. IVF is not as bad as I thought it would be - you just need to take it day by day. The emotional struggle with IF has been very difficult for me. I think that's the hardest part.
