Coming off the pilll - updated with another Question
I stopped taking the pill on Sunday. We're not TTC, but I wanted to clear my body out.
I have been having crazy headaches ever day since I stopped. Do you think this could be like a "withdrawl"?
Did any of you have any side effects after coming off the pill?
New Q's -
If you gained weight while on the pill, did you lose it when you stopped? Also - if your bbs grew while on it, did they stay the same afterwards?

Yes I had headaches, spotting and my skin broke out  The best thing to do is drink a lot of water and relax.

I got a lot of headaches too. Make sure you stay hydrated.

Crap, is this what I have to look forward to? I was going to stop in January also to give my body a year to cleanse...Im sooo not looking foward to these side effects.

I stopped the pill in February and I didn't have any headaches or any withdrawl symptoms.
I was taking the pill for almost 10 years too...
I guess everyone is different. I hope you feel better!

i went off the pill over a year ago after being on it for 12 years - no withdrawls though - i never felt better - it was making me nutty. good luck. stay hydrated and take a multivitamin

I had no "withdrawal" symptoms coming off the pill - I was on it for 10 years also. Everything was fine and I have had the same 28 day cycles. My cramps are worse though and my period lasts longer.

I came off the pill after about 7-8 years and I didnt have any sides effects. Your withdrawal should end after our body adjusts.

if you arent ready you may want to use back-up bc. May conceive right after coming off

I finally got off the pill in August, having been on it for 11 years, and I haven't had any withdrawal symptoms... it's taking alittle for my periods to get back on track though

I too am off the pill, without TTC.
At first-- it was great-- then around my period (when it finally came) my skin broke out and it took a while to settle down.
No headaches though-- although I have noticed that my hangovers are not as bad being off the pill-- weird.

i was on nuvaring (BC, but not pill) and i started breaking out before AF also after i stopped.
also - i didnt gain weight when i went on BC, but i actually gained weight when i stopped.

Ya know, now that you bring it up I have gained weight, but then again I haven't been watching what I eat.

I did not lose weight after coming off the pill and my boobs did not change (they grew a cup size while on the pill)

I gained about 5 pounds when i went off the pill and my skin is a bit strange... I was on it for about 8 years

When I went on the pill I gained weight because I ate myself silly. When I went off the pill I had some extra zits.
