Invitro - round 2, seeking answers

Hey, I am seeking some advice out there about the Invitro process. I have been through 1 full invitro (including the frozen cycle) which neither worked. I will most likely be going through round 2 but I am concerned that my body is forming some allergic reaction to the progesterone that you take during the cycles.
First of all, has anyone ever dealt with something like this? if so, what did you do about it?
Second, how do I get past the frustration and depression of these procedures not working.

Looking for advice.

Re: Invitro - round 2, seeking answers

what makes you think you are allergic?

As for the emotional part, I am not sure if this is what you want to hear, but there comes a point where you become numb. I am in the middle of IVF #3 with a FET thrown in there too, BY the time I got to my FET it was just like this is a process I have to go through, no longer have that emotional excitedness of oh my God I am really doing IVF. Am I gonna have twins? etc. Now its just like I am taking my care in for service.

Not sure if others feel this way, could just be the way I cope?

Re: Invitro - round 2, seeking answers

As far as the allergic reaction goes, my symptoms started with the fresh Invitro, I was given progesterone capsules to be taken vaginally, I developed redness and itchiness (kind of like a yeast infection). With the frozen cycle, I was given the shots to try in the hip, I did ok with those for about a week and then I not only bruised which is normal, but the site became itchy and rash like. I tried crinone cream for 3 days as a trial run and the vaginal area became itchy again. VERY frustration, I did read something about additives that they put in some of those progesterones - found a natural progesterone cream, but have no idea if it would work. Not sure what to use as an alternative.

OH by the way, I may be dumb but what is FET?

Re: Invitro - round 2, seeking answers

hi,

I alternate between suppositories--(when I cant get someone to give me a shot) very infrequent...and injections.
I have the same reaction to both.
I prefer the injections.
I find it I use EMLA cream I do not suffer.
I still get itchy but I cant get over it if i do not feel 12 weeks of injections.

Re: Invitro - round 2, seeking answers

Thank you guys for the answers, keep them coming, this makes me feel that I hopefully am not going crazy. My next question is... I feel like there is something that is continually "killing" off the embryo's - wondering if there is something in my body that is causing it to be a "hostile" environment. I have been told nothing particularly is wrong, it is the "unknown" infertility problem. They wondered if I had endodemetriosis, but they say that invitro bypasses that problem. My doctor states that invitro is pure statistics and that all the embryo's were probably bad the last round... any thoughts?

I know some people are allergic to the type of oil. There are 2 types of oil that are used, maybe you can have it switched

Ahhh, I thought you would be in this area.

Did you ever do any immune testing?
