You know what breaks my heart?
Now, everytime I put on my jacket to leave the house, Alex looks up at me SO excited, yelling "I come I come" as she grabs her jacket, hat and gloves to put on herself. It's adorable, but heartbreaking when I have to go to work and tell her she can't come 
This morning, with the babysitter, when I was walking out the door, she just laid herself on the floor, put her head in her arms, and cried, no mommy, I want to come
And, apparently, yesterday, after I left, the babysitter told me that she pretended she was "working" - she would put on her coat, grab her little backpack, walk out the room and say bye bye kathleen, I working.
Breaks my heart, but Dh keeps saying, where's the rent money?

Awwww!  I love her little personality. I'm not a mom (only to my dog), but I love coming here to read your Alex stories... Despite her temper (we all have one!!) she sounds like such a wonderful little girl!

My nephew went through the same thing for a while. As soon as he woke up in the morning he insisted on putting his shoes and socks on so that if anyone went to walk out the door he was ready to go. It used to break my sister's heart when she left for work. He eventually grew out of that stage but it was very hard while he was going through it.

Awww. That's so cute, but so heart-breaking at the same time. I know how it is. I'm just glad that Ava is asleep when I leave for work. On Christmas, she wouldn't sit with my cousin because she babysits her on Mondays and Wednesdays and she was afraid that JT and I were leaving since every other time she sees my cousin, it's because we ARE leaving
