No, you cannot. However, drinking is a choice. The kids who were murdered had no choice. Their murderer took their choice to live away from them. They were defenceless and he knew it. He planned this for a very long time. Even after he murdered two innocent people, he created a taped and written manifesto and mailed it to NBC. I cannot even come up with the words to explain how evil that is.

It is sad that some college students die from alcohol related incidence (due to their own choices and own actions), but IMHO the two things are completely different.

I guess the point I was trying to make is that not every single one these 1700 kids die because they drank. they might have been killed by a drunk driver on campus or some other violent drunk induced incident.

IMO, if someone is SICK and deranged enough to kill someone, they will find a way. Whether it be with a gun, knife, a car, etc.

I dont think though a drunken driver goes out to seek out someone and kill them, where someone with a gun does have an intent to harm someone.

IMO, getting in the drivers seat when you're drunk is almost as bad as shooting someone. it has the same results.

Yes its just as bad, but was that your point? That its just as bad? Or the "intent"?

I dont think the intent is the same.
