Yesterday was my dad's birthday
He would have been 68 (he passed away in 1996). I usually try to do something to honor him on his birthday. But my sister and mom were in Florida and I ended up going to LI to take DD to the doctor (who actually was my dad's doctor and friend).
Its been 12 years, but I still can't believe it.... I wanted to do something special since I didn't have to work, like take DD to art museum (he loved art). Instead, we ended up running around LI doing errends.

It's ok Michelle, you always have him in your heart, and that's more important than what you do, or don't do, in his honor on his birthdays. The most important thing is passing his incredible legacy, through you, to your child, which I know you do on a daily basis

I know what you mean, this year we were unable to do something in memory of my Dad as well.
Just know your father knows you have him in your heart no matter where you are or what you are doing
