Yay or nay on this 1st birthday theme...
What do you think about doing an "ocean ONE-derland" theme for Loey's first birthday?
We are SUCH summer people... NOT winter people!
His birthday is 12/18 and that's probably when his party will be. DH said "well, they have Christmas in July, why not summer in December?"
Like the idea or hate it?
If you like it... have any ideas for me? 
I know it's super early but we are probably going to book the place soon (my SIL owns a catering company) and we want to make sure we get a date since there will be lots of holiday parties around that time too.

I think it's adorable and best time to get party supplies is NOW
All summer stuff is probably going to be on sale. Do shovel and pails, give out leis, get a blow up palm tree.
It's probably really cheap at party stores like Party City or Cedarhurst paper

Cute idea! Go to Christmas Tree Shoppe! And def book a place soon! Christmas parties start booking in the fall.

what if you did like little penquins with swim trunks on?
maybe you could create a "beach" made of ice and have all kinds of cold water animals frolicing...linking the two seasons together?
hah...maybe that is lame.
