ya know those digital picture frames....??
I want to go half with my sil on a big one for my other SILs bday which is right after Chrismas
I know nothing about them though
is there a brand I should be looking for??
we want like a 10inch

They are useless unles sthey have internal memory. That's all I know. So I would say, the more memory, the better.

You should check the resolution. Some frames might be 10" but have really crappy resolution compared to others.
My first frame is a small 4" x 6" NuVue which takes all size chips. That was was easy to use because I just downloaded the pictures I wanted to a chip and then popped it in the frame. Resolution was decent.
DH decided that since I enjoyed the first frame so much I needed a new one. He actually went and did the reseach and found that Audiovox made a portable TV/DVD player that also worked as picture frame since it supported sd chips. Resolution is incredible because it's actually a tv. We also used it to make a dvd slide show for a Sweet 16.
Would look into going that route instead of a regular frame. Would not go with internal memory either - would rather move a chip than a whole picture frame.

my sis got my Mom an 8" frame for Hanukkah and she absolutely LOVES IT!!!!!!!!!! it has a 2000 pic capacity and my sis pre-loaded about 100 pics on to it before she gave it to her.
she got it at Costco

My picture frame has internal memory.. but we don't use it.. I just loaded everything onto an extra SD card and it flips through those pics... you don't have to have internal memory
edited to add.. We have an 11" we got from Staples and I got an 8" for my parents from Office Max. One is a pandigital and one is a Omnitech.. I'm really happy with both.. the Omnitech is the one we have from Staples.. it was originally 199 we got it for $99 black friday

I have a Kodak 10" and love it! You don't need internal memory at all, you just pop in a flash drive or a memory card and you are all set!

I just got a wireless one one from Kodak for my Dad that's great. You can get pictures wirelessly from other KODAK Gallery members.
