I was BF and just changed to formula - His poop went from thin yellow/orange to paste like green. I read the green is from the Iron in the formula.
No it is not constipation, from what I have read constipation is hard, ball like poop
Adding: I was going to post about green sticky poop this weekend

I was going to post about this exact thing!!!
We tried soy formula for 2 days and i stopped it last night (he was screaming uncontrollably from gas pains) and this morning he had a diaper full of sticky dark green poop...looked like the meconium poops in the beginning and it freaked me out a little...it must be the soy, b/c he went again and now its mustardy yellow.

i asked my pediatrician about changes in poop (dd has green gooey poops sometimes) and he said for anyone breastfeeding (not sure if you do at all or not, so pls. disregard if its not helpful) it depends on the mom's diet....so it it seems like it could come from formula too!

Sounds normal to me. The pedi always asks us if her poops are pasty, and they are, and because of the iron in the formula, they are green too!

DS is on Goodstart and his poops are always green. First a dark green and now it's like a lighter shade of it.

i'm doing a BF and formula combo so the dr. said any color is fair game as long as it's not white, red or black. the consistency is what is bothering me though, it's soooooooooo sticky, never seen it like this before  . that, combined with the fact that she's not as regular anymore got me  ...
Doctor said the same thing to me. As long as it not white, red, or black then the poop is fine. DS doesn't go everyday now. Sometimes it's after 1 or or 3 days. But I do the thermometer trick and usually he goes after that...
