I saw that and signed DS up, but I think it's a silly marketing gimmick. Most people typically buy multiple day tickets so a one day pass really does no good (unless you live local). I did see that it says if you buy multi day passes that you get a "special gift" in lieu of the free day. Wonder what it is.
