I belong to a pregnancy board on FB and one of the other ladies posted these.


To cook most of the following recipes: combine all ingredients in freezer bag & freeze. When ready to cook, take out of freezer and set on counter for about 30 minutes, then dump contents of bag into slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours.


Healthy Mama Barbecue Chicken



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

1 sweet potato, peeled & cubed

1 bag frozen green pepper

1 bag frozen onion



1 tablespoon quick cooking tapioca

4 chicken breasts

1/2 can tomato sauce



1 tablespoons packed brown sugar

1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon salt



Stephanie's Goulash





Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

1 bag frozen onion

1 bag frozen green pepper

1 bag frozen corn

1 bag frozen carrots



1 cloves garlic, minced

1.5 pounds beef stew meat, cut into one inch cubes

1/2 can tomato sauce



1 can diced tomatoes

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper



Note on bag: Serve over noodles with sour cream



Chicken Curry



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



2 tablespoons curry powder

1 teaspoons ground cumin

1.5 lbs chicken, cubed

1 peeled sweet potato, cubed

1 bag frozen baby carrots

1/2 bag frozen onion

1/2 bag frozen okra



2 cloves garlic, minced

chicken bouillon powder





Easy Orange Chicken



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



4 boneless chicken breasts

2 TBS brown sugar

2 TBS soy sauce

3 TBS orange juice concentrate

2 teaspoons garlic

1 teaspoon ginger

Coarse salt & Pepper to taste





Island View Pork Chops



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

4 pork chops



1/2 cup soy sauce

2 TBSP brown sugar

1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple

dash ground ginger

salt and pepper to taste





Cheesy Chicken and Ham



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



1 1/2 lbs. chicken pieces

1 cup diced cooked ham

1 can (10 oz) Cheddar cheese soup, condensed

1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes

1/2 cup water





Salsa Chicken



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 jar of your favorite salsa

1 can black beans (drained)

1 can corn (drained)

Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low 6-8 hours or high 4-6 hours. Shred chicken with two forks just before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, sour cream, shredded cheese.





Beef Fajitas





Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

2 pounds cubed beef

1 bag frozen onion

1 bag frozen green pepper

1 bag frozen corn



1 can diced jalapenos or chilies

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 t. chili powder

2 t. ground cumin

2 t. ground coriander

1/4 t. salt

2 cans of tomatoes, stewed, diced, crushed, whatever.







Chicken With Creamy Chive Sauce

TWO freezer bags



8 chicken breasts (4 per bag)





Melt in a large pot:

1 cup butter or margarine

4 Envelopes of Italian salad dressing mix

4 cans cream of chicken soup

2 cups dry cooking wine



Stir this well. Divide into the freezer bags, seal and freeze.



To prepare, thaw a bag for a few hours, put in crockpot on high for 4-5 hours or low for 8 or 9 hours. Towards the end of the cooking time stir in a small tub of flavored cream cheese. The recipe called for a chive flavor, but garden vegetable is what was on sale.





Italian Style Beef



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

2 pounds cubed beef

1 can tomatoes



1 teaspoon beef broth powder

1/3 cup of liquid (some combination of red cooking wine and water)

1 teaspoons of italian seasoning



1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of pepper

1 bag frozen carrots/celery mix

1 can sliced mushrooms

1/2 bag frozen onion



Note on bag: Serve over pasta.





Cooker Chops



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

4 pork chops

10 3/4oz can cream of mushroom soup;

1/4c ketchup;

2tsp worcestershire sauce;

1 pkg. onion soup mix.





Creole Dump Chicken



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 bag frozen onion



1/2 bag frozen green bell pepper

1 clove minced garlic

1 (14 ounce) can whole tomatoes, chopped and undrained

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons red wine vinegar

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon pepper sauce (optional)

4-6 chicken breasts





Sticky Dump Chicken



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



2 tablespoons vegetable or extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter

3 tablespoons ketchup

4-6 chicken breasts





Sweet and Spicy Dump Chicken



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



1 envelope taco seasoning mix

8 ounces apricot jam

12 ounces salsa

4 chicken breasts





Jumbalaya

TWO freezer bags

one vegetarian

one with meat



Frozen Shrimp

Sausage

2 chicken breasts, diced



To each bag, add:

1 onion

1 green bell pepper

1 bag frozen okra

1 bag frozen corn

3 garlic cloves, minced

14 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained

8 oz. can tomato sauce

1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning

1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

15 oz. can butter beans

15 oz. can red beans





Tortellini / Ravioli

TWO freezer bags

one for Tortellini

one for Ravioli



2 (10 oz.) pkgs. refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini, uncooked

2 pkgs frozen ravioli (cheese or meat)



In each bag put:

1 - 28 oz. jar spaghetti sauce

1 - 12 oz. jar Alfredo four cheese sauce

1/2 bag frozen onion

2 cloves garlic

2 tsp dried Italian Seasoning



* Note on bag: Add 1 cup water, top with mozzarella cheese & serve





Beef Macaroni Soup



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

beef bouillon powder

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

1/2 bag frozen onion

1 clove garlic, minced

1 (16oz) can diced tomatoes

1 (16oz) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained



Note on bag: Add 1lb cooked ground beef/sirloin & 2.5 cups water, add 1 cup elbow macaroni 1 hour before serving





Slow Cooker Bolognese Sauce



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

1/2 bag frozen onion

3 cloves garlic, minced

1.5 (14 oz) cans chopped tomatoes, drained

1.5 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce

1 (6 oz) cans tomato paste

just under 1/4 cup sugar

1 packet Italian seasoning



Note on bag: Add 1lbs cooked ground beef, serve over spaghetti noodles





Applesauce BBQ Pork Chops



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:

4 pork chops



1/2 cup applesauce

1/4 cup ketchup

1 cups brown sugar

3 tablespoons lemon juice



1/2 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (I didn’t measure this I just did 10 grinds from my pepper grinder)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon





Bajio Chicken



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



5 chicken breasts

1/2 cup salsa



1 can black beans

1 Tbsp cumin

1/2 cup brown sugar (more to taste)

1 can diced green chilies



Note on bag: Add 1/2 can of Sprite to cook, shred chicken before serving, serve like tacos/burritos





3 Envelope Roast Stew



Single recipe, 1 freezer bag:



3 pounds beef, cubed

1 envelope of dry Italian salad dressing mix

1 envelope of dry ranch salad dressing mix

1 envelope of dry brown gravy mix

1 bag frozen onion

1 bag frozen green pepper

1 bag baby carrots



Note on bag: Add 2 cups water





Taco Soup





1 lb. chopped chicken, roast beef or ground beef

1 bag frozen onion



1 bag frozen corn

1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, with liquid

1 (16 oz.) can white beans, with liquid

1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans, with liquid

1 can Ro-tel tomatoes with chilies and liquid

1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes, with liquid (I used a can of crushed tomatoes)

1 pkg. taco seasoning mix

1 pkg. Ranch dressing



Note on bag: Add 1lb cooked ground beef (if not using chicken), top with sour cream & cheese





Slow Cooker Sweet and Spicy Chicken





4 chicken breasts

1 (14 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes, undrained

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes



Note on bag: Serve whole or shred to use in tacos





The Ultimate Beef Stroganoff





2-3 pounds stew meat, cubed

1 tsp. salt

dash of pepper

1/2 bag frozen onion

1 clove diced garlic



1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

beef bouillon powder

1 tablespoon ketchup

1 can sliced mushrooms



Note on bag: Add 1.5 cups water, Add 1/2 cup sour cream right before serving. Serve over pasta.





Chicken Enchilada Soup





1 15-ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained

1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes

1 bag frozen corn

1/2 bag frozen onion

1/2 bag frozen green pepper

1 10-ounce can enchilada sauce

1 10.75-ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup

3 chicken breasts, diced/cubed



Note on bag: Add 1.5 cups of milk to cook, top with cheese & sour cream





Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken BBQ



4-6 frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

1 (12 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce

1/2 cup Italian salad dressing

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce





Orange Apricot Pork Chops





6 pork chops

1 cup apricot jam

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ginger

1/4 teaspoon cloves

1 (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges (and juice!)





Bacon Ranch Chicken





2 T bacon bits

1 tsp minced garlic

1 package ranch dressing mix

1 10.75 oz can condensed cream of chicken soup

1 c sour cream

4 chicken breasts



Note on bag: Serve over egg noodles





Cranberry Chicken





6 chicken breasts

4 T melted butter

2 T soy sauce

1 can cranberry sauce

1/2 c orange juice

1/4 tsp cinnamon

Chicken Corn Chowder

¦5 slices bacon
¦12 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in bite size pieces
¦1/2 cup chopped onion
¦1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (any color)
¦1 garlic clove, minced
¦4 cups chicken broth
¦1 1/2 cups frozen whole kernel corn
¦1 (14.75 ounce) can cream-style corn
¦1/4 cup Corn Starch
¦1 cup milk
¦1/2 teaspoon salt
¦1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
¦1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1.Cook bacon in a large pot over medium heat until browned and crisp; drain on paper towels and crumble when cool enough to handle. Reserve 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.
2.Saute chicken, onion, bell pepper and garlic in hot bacon drippings for 2 mins or so.
3.Throw into crock pot add chicken broth, frozen corn and cream-style corn. Combine corn starch with milk and stir into soup season salt, pepper and cheese; stir well.
4.Ladle soup into bowls; sprinkle bacon over individual servings.


Sunday Sauce w Sausage

¦1 lb lean chicken Italian sausage, casings removed
¦1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
¦5 cloves garlic, smashed
¦28 oz tuttorosso crushed tomatoes
¦fresh cracked pepper
¦Sprinkle Sugar
¦Pinch of Salt


Brown the sausage in a large skillet, breaking up any large pieces with a wooden spoon. When sausage is browned, drain if needed and add to crock pot.Clean skillet with a paper towel and set flame to high; when hot add oil. Add garlic and cook until golden but do not burn; add tomatoes and garlic to crock pot along with fresh cracked pepper. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.



**If Im feeling like it I also make homemade meatballs, brascioli and some potatoes to throw in there too**



Minestrone Soup

¦1/2 onion, chopped
¦1 cup carrots, chopped
¦1 celery stalk, chopped
¦2 garlic cloves, minced
¦1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
¦1 (15 oz) can white beans, drained, rinsed (cannellini or navy)
¦3 cups fat free chicken broth (or vegetable broth for vegetarians)
¦1 oz chunk of good Parmesan cheese rind
¦1 fresh rosemary sprig
¦2 bay leaves
¦2 tbsp chopped fresh basil

¦1/4 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves
¦salt and fresh pepper
¦1 medium zucchini, chopped
¦2 cups chopped fresh or frozen (defrosted) spinach
¦2 cups cooked small pasta like ditalini or elbows (al dente)
¦extra parmesan cheese to top (extra pts)
Rinse and drain beans. Puree beans with 1 cup of the broth in a blender.



In a crock pot, combine broth, tomatoes, pureed beans, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, herbs, Parmesan cheese rind, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.



Forty minutes before the soup is done cooking, add zucchini and spinach. Cover and cook 30 more minutes. Add cooked pasta, cook 10 minutes more. Remove bay leaves, rosemary sprig, parmesan rind and season to taste with salt and black pepper. Ladle soup into bowls and top with extra parmesan cheese.



Carnitas

¦2.5 lb pork shoulder blade roast, lean, all fat removed (I used Smithfield)
¦6 cloves garlic, cut into sliver
¦cumin
¦dry adobo seasoning (I used Goya)
¦garlic powder
¦3/4 cup 99% fat free chicken broth
¦2-3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (to taste)
¦2 bay leaves
Directions:



Season pork with salt and pepper. In a medium sauté pan on medium-high heat, brown pork on all sides for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.



Using a sharp knife, insert blade into pork, cutting small holes and insert garlic slivers. Season pork generously with cumin, adobo and garlic powder all over.



Pour chicken broth in the crockpot, add bay leaves and chipotle peppers. Place pork in crock pot and cover. Cook low for 8 hours. After 8 hours, shred pork using two forks and combine well with the juices that accumalated at the bottom. Remove bay leaves and adjust salt and cumin (you will probably need to add more). Let it cook another 15-30 minutes.



Crock Pot Italian Beef Sandwiches

¦3 cups water
¦1 teaspoon salt
¦1 teaspoon ground black pepper
¦1 teaspoon dried oregano
¦1 teaspoon dried basil
¦1 teaspoon onion salt
¦1 teaspoon dried parsley
¦1 teaspoon garlic powder
¦1 bay leaf
¦1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix (I like to make my own seasoning mix but my sister uses this easier option!)
¦1 (5 pound) rump roast


1.Combine water with salt, ground black pepper, oregano, basil, onion salt, parsley, garlic powder, bay leaf, and salad dressing mix in a saucepan. Stir well, and bring to a boil.
2.Place roast in slow cooker, and pour salad dressing mixture over the meat.
3.Cover, and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours, or on High for 4 to 5 hours. About an hour before finished thrown in green peppers. When done, remove bay leaf & green peppers, and shred meat with a fork then put back into srock pot to soak up juices.
4.Toast italian rolls, put the green peppers on, hot giadeniera and beef with some juices! The wetter the better lol

These are great! I usually only use my crockpot on the weekends bc I have no time in the morning. These I could definitely do.
