WWYD? Job I would Like is Available...

Right now, I'm a SAHM and planned to be until next spring or so.

I noticed a job popped up that I would really like (assuming I got it), it would start in late August. So this moves everything up much sooner. We would need to find good childcare for DS fast, but the bigger issue is missing this time with him.

Part of me wants to go for the job and see what happens, but a bigger part of me wants to stay home with him while I can--I keep telling myself this is not a once in a lifetime job, there will be others. But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see him grow and develop during his first year.

Just wanted to see how others resolved this pull, though I know the decision needs to come from me.

I think if you don't apply for it, you willl always wonder if you missed an opportunity.

So I say, apply for it. Go the interview if they call you.

Then you can decide if this is the job for you and whether you are ready or not. It could be the dream job or comfirn you are not ready.

It does not hurt to look into it.

If it were me, I would apply for it. The dilemma is more for when you get it. I would have to at least give it a shot & interview for a dream job.

I would apply, and see what happens, otherwise you will always be left wondering. It never hurts to investigate an opportunity. If the job was offered, you don't have to take it.

Thanks! Yeah, it may or may not be as dreamy as it sounds, but I should probably give it a chance and see what happens. I'll never know unless I go for it.
