WWYD - Phil & Ted on sale at Albee Baby online

There's a memorial day sale going on with 17% off the Phil & Ted Double (so from $539 to $449)

I've been going back and forth btwn the City Mini double and the P&T, but hesitant because of the price. Now they are only $50 difference.

Should I get it?

Moms who already have the P&T, do you love it?

My DS will be 26 mos apart.

Thanks!!

I don't have a double, but can answer from a shopping standpoint. If the difference is $50, and you go fro the cheaper one, you will be mad that you didn't get the one you really wanted for only $50 bucks more....

I have the Phil & Ted Vibe which I've been using as a single right now and I have to say I love it!

However, it's a real PITA to fold and unfold (especially with this giant preggo belly) but I love the ride.

Thanks!

Have you used it with the youngest as a newborn?

That is my only concern. You cannot use the car seat adapter and use the P&T as a double, but you can buy the cocoon, so that you can transfer the newborn from the stroller inside without waking them? Is that true?

I used the flat bassinet option for my newborn daughter and she slept really well in it. I never purchased the cocoon so I don't know much about it. Now she is sitting up and likes that, too.

Mine are 24 months apart and it's been the best investment!

Yes, i have the cocoon and you put them in that and can transfer them without waking them. I put the cocoon on the floor and she sleeps in it on the floor! I love my phil and ted stroller - it rides really smoothly and i love the way the seats are. It holds its value really well - if you go on craigs list or ebay, they sell for close to their value.

Can the bassinet be used with the double? I don't think so, right? Just by itself?

I used it as a double with my toddler sitting in front and then the flat part unzipped for the baby. They have a video on the website that explains this better Chat Icon

I saw that, and it seemed a little odd to me. Like the newborn could just fall out.Chat Icon

Is the first pic in the 2nd row what you are talking about?

External Image

that's why I thought if I added the cocoon to the bottom, it would seem more sturdy? and then I could also transfer in and out without waking baby.

I do both - i use it as the first picture in the second row and i also sometimes use the cocoon. My DD is 3 months old and is fine without the cocoon. She is not going to fall out at all.
