WTF Is w/ this stupid lazy exposed zipper trend???
WHY won't it GO AWAY ??? !!!!
I hate it - it ruins the whole dress and looks cheap and unfinished.
Everything I'm liking online from the front, I now have to check the back view .........every single dress has this stupid uncovered zipper.
$500 dress ..............w/ an exposed gold zipper? No !! NO NO NO NO !!!!
Ok, rant over.

I'm neither here nor there with them. I don't seek out clothes with them, but I won't NOT buy something because of one.
There are way worse trends out there.

I like the look on SOME things - more casual tops etc. But I can undestand not liking it on dressier looks

Yeah--I don't see the point. I don't think it ever adds to a look. Unless it was a very formal dress (or I had a few to choose from) I wouldn't not buy it though. I just bought a work dress with one, but I will probably wear it with a sweater most of the time anyway.

I agree. If I REALLY like the dress I am still going to buy it, but I'm not a fan and wouldn't pick it.
Usually my hair covers most of it- unless it goes all the way down the back of the dress

I don't like it, I love it! I know it's trendy but I love zippers in general as a decoration, so I will pay closer attention to boots or pants or tops that have them 
IMO it's the same as any other type of decoration. Some people like fringe, I hate it, and the world moves on.

I agree, I have two dresses with it. One is kind of casual so it's fine but the other is dressier and the thing that bothers me the most bout the zipper is that it limits my accessories because of its color. It's like a nickel color and I really like gold accessories with the dress but I feel like I'm clashing because the stupid zipper takes up the entire back!

me too
It's ok on boots as far as I'm concerned but I don't really like it on dresses. I think it has a tackiness about it. If I really loved the rest of the dress I'd probably still buy it with the zipper but I would wish it weren't there.

For casual clothes I don't think it's a deal breaker but not for anything remotely formal. And I would NEVER buy a $500 dress with it, though I wouldn't buy a $500 dress that had anything trendy on it.

I really like exposed zippers. It can make a very conservative dress look really edgy from the back.

I like them I have a couple tops that have it. One is not lined on the inside and boy do I get cold when it's chilly out.
