WOW! My friend's amazing story
I have a friend who's about 35, never thought she could get pregnant because her uterus is retroverted (I think thats what its called). She's never married and had some pretty crappy relationships in the past. Well she met a guy over the summer and they hit it off great. She moved in with him in November. In December she tells me she thinks she may be pregnant. I told her take a test, she did it was faint. She goes to her Dr and he tells her it doesnt look good based on the #'s, and with that the next day starts bleeding. Dr tells her its a chemical, does not do a sono to rule out ectopic or molar or even to make sure its all out, doesnt do follow up bloodwork. Fast forward to last monday, she calls me and tells me she hasnt gotten her period yet and its been over 40 days I say take another test, the test turned + before she stopped peeing on it.
Calls her Dr and demands to be seen, he brings her in does a sono and said "I cant believe it, your about 10 weeks along" Her beta was like 7000+. I cant believe her Dr was so casual about this, poor girl could have had some serious complications if she did indeed have leftover material in her uterus. She is so happy now, but scared out of her mind, she calls me almost everyday to ask whats normal, whats this whats that lol.

What a great story!!! She def. should switch docs though...he doesn't seem to be very responsible with his patients.

Because of the shape and position of her uterus, her cervix was getting irriated and just started bleeding.
