Just wondering?....i sent my son to school for the first time ever, with a not so great cough....but had has no other symptons and was very happy and acting normal..Just tired of him missing school, its so expensive and he already missed so many days.

Yes - I send DS to school (daycare) as long as he doesn't have a fever and isn't vomiting.

My thought is that whatever he has he probably caught there.

If he had no fever and was acting himself, then yes.. It is probably allergies..

thanks...now i don't feel as guilty about sending him.
It might be allergies, since he does have bad seasonal allergies.
When he first woke up the cough was pretty horrible, but after breakfast and drinking some water, it was already a little better.
I am finally getting better with dealing with sick kids. My DS started later in life with getting sick.

I think my DD has had a cough more days than not since she has been in daycare...lol! I only keep her home if she has a fever and/or vomiting.

I have with both. So long as their boogies are clear and no fever, in they go. I kept my oldest home once because she was coughing all night and was exhausted the next day.

I send DS to daycare all the time with colds. He has a horrible couch and he is still going. Unless it is a fever or soemthing more than a cold he goes.

All the times he has had a cold it is because of daycare!!!!
