Would you give a small gift or gift card?
My cousin is having her first baby and then moving to Hawaii. She's having a shower with her family on LI but my aunt suggested giving gift cards because she will have to travel with any gifts. In this situation, in addition to the gift card, would you give a small gift too (Like, physically really small) and if so, what would it be?

I'd just do a gift card in that circumstance.
You can always ship her a gift when she has a baby!

Gift card I wouldn't bother with a little gift because if a lot of people do that it adds up and then she has to worry about shipping all that too

It would depend on how much other stuff she's taking with her when she moves. Is she just bringing her clothes and personal items, or is she having all her furniture moved? If she's already moving a household worth of furniture, then a few small baby items shouldn't be that much more trouble. But if you know she's not taking much with her to begin with then I would just do a gift card and maybe something very small. Did she register? I would think that if she registered she must have thought about how she would get the gifts to her new home.
