Working moms - how many hours per day do you see your DC?

DS is in day care and even though I changed jobs for better hours and location, I still only get to see him for less than an hour in the a.m. while we are getting ready, and then for less than an hour at night before he has to go to sleep. It is really killing me, I miss him so much and I feel so guilty. I tried to keep him up later at night so we could play, but he gets insanely cranky and tired and it's just not fair to him. Anyone else feel this way?

Ssame here, unfortunately. Although now that I think about it, at night there's only about an hour & 15 minutes after I get home before she starts to nurse before bed, so I get to see her, but she's not really awake. Chat Icon

I see him for about an hour and a half in the morning while we all get ready (so I wouldn't say it is quality time). I drop him off at daycare and stick around and play with him until the last possible second. Then in the evening I see him for about 2-3 hours if I'm lucky. Some days I get home late from work. Other days he goes to sleep a little earlier. By the end of the week all I want to do is hug and kiss him!

it really depends because if I am in the beginning of rehearsals I see her more but especially at the end of the rehearsals I went 2 days without seeing her

Never enough. Chat Icon The morning is hardly quality time, but I'm with her anywhere from 30 min to an hour and a half (depending when she wakes up and if the nanny is coming or I'm dropping her off at my parents'). In the evening, I'm with her for about 2 hours. If she didn't go to bed so early (6:30ish), it could be longer!

I'm lucky...I'm a teacher and I work less than a mile from our house, so I see her for about 2 hours in the morning (I have an early riser) and about 4 hours in the evening...I think its about quality over quantity though...

15 minutes in the morning, which is waking her up and getting her dressedChat Icon I do drop her off at daycare and spend about 15 mintues there giving her breakfast. I spend about 2 - 3 hours in the evening.

I'm very grateful I get to work from home 2 days, even though I have to ignore her most of it. It's never enough time.

Re: Working moms - how many hours per day do you see your DC?

I spend about 1 hour in the morning. And 4-5 months at night, depending on bed time.

I cherish my weekends. I love the fact I teach, so I get so much time off.

It's the same for us too but we have a lot of quality time on the weekends. Recently I have been working from home on Fridays so I'm able to spend time with him then as well.
