Work and Vacation Days Question
So, I just got home from vacation-- taking 6 days off of work... 4th of July is coming up, which falls on a Wed-- my office is closed Tues and Wed... I would like to take a floating holiday on Monday-- which i am sure will be a dead day, to visit my bro in CO since with Mon, I will have off for 5 days straight.
I want to ask for the day so I can book my flight-- but I feel like it's SO close to when I just got home. My boss is totally cool and I know I am entitled to these days-- I just feel, I don't know... guilty?
Thoughts?

I'm the same way. Is it a busy time for your job? For me, the summer is the most dead time, so we are encouraged to take the majority of our vacation days during the summer, so I know no one would care. If it's dead at work I'd see no problem!
Even if it is busy, it's really just the one day which shouldn't be a big deal.

...and you should request it... its summer & many start taking days off with the good weather 
i just got off of three days & started planning for july thru sept
