Wood Floor Refinishing?

Okay, we just closed, but we're thinking of a few projects. One we may try to squeeze in before we move into our house is to refinish the floors in the bedrooms. They are carpeted now, but there is wood underneath.

Does anyone have recommendations for people/services they have used? We live in Nassau county.

We just used Harris Floors and they were fantastic! They sanded and stained today and will be coming back tomorrow and Monday to put the polyurethane down.

I called about 10 places and they were by far the cheapest!

Thanks! I'll definitely give them a call soon.

We're not so sure we can swing this right now, but it's worth considering. It will be much easier to do the floors before we move in than after.

we are using ultra floors, i believe they are based out of massapequa. they were recommended to me on here.
i got an estimate by them and harris, and i went with them because they were charging we around 200 or so to rip up, cut up and bundle the old carpet when harris was going to charge me over 400 for that. other than that, their pricing was very similar. i checked them out with bbb and they have no complaints.
