Wise advice from a 2nd grader
I'm walking a 2nd grade class down the hall, and one of my 2nd grade girls is asking me all the questions, when the baby is coming...and I tell her it can be Sunday, Friday, Wednesday, who knows? Then she asks the LOADED question - "Does it hurt?" I said,
"I don't know yet" and then said "Well if it does, then the doctor will take care of me."
But the best was, this 2nd grade boy who is literally like a little old man with the things he says. He goes "I was supposed to come in July but I didn't come until August....so BE PREPARED!"
And this is why I haven't gone on maternity leave yet and I'm due Sunday...

that's awesome! I MISS my kids... i feel guilty being home. i know they would be saying the same crazy things... you gotta love it.

 I totally understand.
It's the little things that make hanging around worth it. Like today, watching Annie with 3rd grade, and as she's singing "Tomorrow" all the kids start singing along (boys and girls alike). It was so sweet!
