oh dear lawd, not often enough 
ive been looking at them for the past few days and telling myself they need to be cleaned... so maybe today will be the day
i think they say youre supposed to clean them every 2 weeks (i used to do it that often, but now in this apartment, we have those older windows that dont come off the track to clean them, and they have the little squares separated by the wood, so its a million times harder)

Hmmm , Id say about every 3-4 weeks I clean them inside and outside, cant reach the second floor though on the outside which really *****! Im still trying to find an easy way though 123 where I dont have to keep going back and forth- I heard something about newspaper but didnt get the whole story so Im still in the dark about that- and I need the help b/c my back of the house is all windows- the entire wall yes!- from just about ceiling to floor about a foot on top and bottom and sides of wall and then ALL window- so when I do them it takes me a good 2 hours to get all the windows clean

Stoner glass cleaner - doesnt leave any streaks or residue. I use it on all the cars I detail and I havent had a problem once.
Another excellent glass cleaner is spray away. I use that on all cars too.
You can get these products at your local Auto supply store. You will most likely find spray away, I havent found many stores that sell Stoner Products, maybe Autozone does...
