Who do I see to get a circumcision fixed?
DS is having an issue with his circumcision. At first, the dr did a great job. All the nurses and drs at my peds office always complement on it when they open his diaper (I find that really weird and creepy yet great that my ob/gyn did such a great job)
Anyway, one day it started to reattach then separated and got infected. He needed antibiotics and some cream on it. A few weeks later, it reattached again, I gently pulled it to detach it like the ped said and it swelled up so big with fluid because it got infected again even though I washed my hands, made sure DS didn't put his hands on it, put the cream on with qtips, everything I was suppose to.
From swelling really big, it caused the skin to stretch out and it never went back. So now the tip looks like a normal circumcision BUT in the middle of the shaft there is SOOOOO much extra skin. It looks bad. Really bad. Even my mil changed him one day and commented to DH that it didn't look right.
Is this something that can be fixed? And if so, who do I take him to see? I can't believe that this is happening.

He has to see a pediatric urologist. DS had adhesions from his and the urologist fixed it.

I went to see Dr. Palmer when my DS's circumcision reattached.

I had DS's recirc done by Dr. Gitlin (in the same practice as Dr. Palmer) He did an EXCELLENT job!

Ask your ped for a rec too! That's how we found him.
ETA: DS had lots of extra skin too. They not only trimmed off more around the top, but down the shaft too. They "tapered" it in. It looks beautiful now. His future wife will be happy!
