White Elephant Gift Ideas
I'm at a loss! It's a varied group of people- we're all 30-somethings, but some are single and living at home, some have 3 kids, some are new parents, some are newly engaged, it's tough! A mix of men and women. $20 budget. I liked the Kinderperfect cards- which is basically Cards Against Humanity for parents, but it doesn't work for everyone. Ridiculous ideas are welcome! Please help!
ETA: Then I was thinking the swearing adult coloring book.... but I don't know...

How about a nice fleece blanket and candy and popcorn. Kohls has really great, festive blankets for cheap with coupons

Last year the holiday party we went to had a similar group of people
The gifts ranged from candles, movie ticket gift cards, cozy blanket, a AAA emergency kit for the car, mini bottles of alcohol with two glasses, an adult coloring book with gel pens....stuff like that

White Elephant Gift Ideas
We just did ours today! This is what I got-
An adult coloring book from the dollar store and a pack of colored pencils from the dollar store. I taped the box of colored pencils to the coloring book front. Then on the inside cover I taped $5 Dunkin gift card, 2 chocolate bars, and $6 of lotto tickets. Our gift was $15. You could easily add another $5 gift card to 7-11 or Panera or anywhere else. I loved it because when the person first opened it, it was completely underwhelming and looked like they got crap, but it wound up being a favorite. So many people wished it was opened sooner so they could steal it- it was the last gift unwrapped.

traditionally they are the more silly style gifts. Last year we gave r2d2 measuring cups. But the vote this year was to do more traditional gifts.

You pick a number and get to pick a gift in the order your number is
Then you can either chose to open a gift or steal someone's gift that was already opened.
That's how our group does it
It can get intense!

we do this every year. some of the best ones have been:
Amazon Gift Card, scratch off lotto tickets, wine & stemless wine glasses, tequila and margarita mix, ice cream sundae box, games like cards against humanity and taboo, movie gift certificate with theater sized boxes of candy, coffee mugs with starbucks or DD gift cards, blanket with dvds and popcorn

That's what I thought. Maybe I'll do half and half- something useful and then something silly to go along with it. Just to be safe. But that's tough to do and keep under $20.

This year we did a pack of grown men's underroos - it was a t-shirt and boxer/briefs with the superman logo and as a woman's gift, a pack of Turbie twists and another smaller version of the Turbie twists. It was $20 per gift but turbie twists were only 15 i think.
