White cabinets & light-colored countertops?
A friend wants to update her kitchen and she wants to get white cabinets with a light colored countertop. Her husband and I were saying that we thought a dark countertop would look better. Does anybody have the combo that she is looking for, and do you have pics you can post?

My husband and I are having the same discussion. I love the idea of the light counter and he does not. I would love to see pics too!

We have antique white cabinets and a light-ish granite called Lady Dream. Everyone was telling me to go dark too because I needed "contrast" but I didn't want that look.
Not the best picture to show the granite color, but you get the idea:

We have white cabinets and an orange-earthey colored counter top. Our walls are yellow and we have wood floors...and it seems to tie in nicely.

I love white cabinets with light colored counters
I think it's such a clean look
we have dark granite in our rented apartment- and every time I wipe it down I get grossed out about how dirty it is- and it doesn't look dirty- I like to see the dirt!

White with white or very light is HUGE in the Hamptons

The area on the left that looks like big cabinets is actually TWO giant built in refridgerators
