Where would you go for a beachy vacation in APRIL. caribbean preferred.
thinking of planning a quick little trip right after tax season for dh and I (with or without el future niño). it can't be too crazy b/c we will most likely be spending 2 weeks in Europe in June.
I'd like it to be warm. I WANT BEACH!

I wonder what will be easier...affording a mini vacay OR being able to look halfway decent in a bikini by then

we stayed at dreams la romana- it was great!
all inclusive- $1500 for 5 days with air and transfer

we really loved Sandals Antigua. it was the most beautiful beach and the water is gorgeous!

Punta Cana DR - we stayed at the Excellence and it was awesome! Flight is short enough to only stay a few days.

Punta Cana - DR
We have stayed at The Paradisus 2x and are going again in 11 days 
Nice short flight, all inclusive, beautiful beach

not sure I could convince dh on DR, but I am liking the "St." islands, Aruba, and Barbados.
we are not opposed to flying a great distance for just a few days (we've gone as far as Hawai'i on a long weekend) so thank you all for your ideas.

There are several of those! I agree with St. Lucia & would also suggest St. Martin/St. Maarten. It's Dutch, French & Carribean all rolled into one. And I had the most beautiful lemon daquiri there, so I will always remember it fondly.

Hawaii........ for some reason the flights are always dirt cheap in April...... maybe try one of the other islands you haven't visited... Or maybe Costa Rica....I think April is part of their dry season.......
