I would say with boys I would take them to Lancaster pa- with all the train stuff to do there it is awesome- in mid June I think that there is a Thomas the tank engine week going on. There is a cute red caboose motel to stay at ( the rooms are actual caboose) check out the www.800padutch.com
they show you lots of places to stay and things to do
have fun

Lancaster, PA and Hershey, PA (could do in one trip)
Also, Universal Studios in Orlando and any of the Busch Garden parks.

We have a great time both summer and winter at Smugglers Notch in Vermont. They have camps for the kids in both seasons and the kids love it. There are so many things to do there plus other fun things not too far away--Montreal, Burlington, Lake Champlaign. The drive on Rt. 100 is fun too--Ben & Jerrys!
