Where does your Toddler eat??
highchair, booster, anywhere?
Not that Ant eats much but when it is time I really try to make sure he is seated in his high chair.
I guess to teach him good table manners...I try to keep his contained.
However, lately since I am so busy with dd I find myself slacking and just letting him eat while sitting on the couch in front of the tv It's just so hard because they both wake up at the same time...
Other times I just put his plate on our ottoman and let him eat standing up

both my kids (3 and 1) eat in their high chairs. I am so anal when it comes to certain things that I would go nuts if they ate standing or on the couch and got it all dirty.
I also don't like the whole eating in front of the tv thing.. I find that when you do that, they really don't eat as well as when they are in their chair and there are no outside distractions.
Do beat yourself up about not having him in his chair. Do what works for you. There is no right or wrong..

mostly high chair...but sometimes if she refuses to eat it is best on the run...

Andrew is a poor eater and won't sit in his highchair. I feed him while he is on the run.

We started doing this pretty early - at around 1 year. Now we have a toddler table where he eats most of his meals.

Mostly highchair but sometimes we pull a TV tray to a chair and have him eat. That only happens when I need the high chair to feed the baby.

Booster at the kitchen table...snacks too. If she's ready for a snack and is playing, I sometimes let her "cook" her Teddy Grahams in her play kitchen and eat them in the living room.
But like you, I don't want to start bad habits, plus my family never ate in front of the TV, so I make that a priority--also, I don't want to vacuum every day!

98% of the time it's in her highchair at the table. I let her eat goldfish or an apple sitting in her FP chair in the lvg room sometimes.
I am too much of a neat freak to have to worry about crumbs all over the house, plus when we're out, she has no choice but eat at the table.

Oh, I am so glad Alyssa is not the only one. She refuses to sit in her high chair for more than 5 minutes (same with stroller but thats another issue )...usually, Ill let her eat at the coffee table in the living room...or chase her around and stuff food in her mouth.

Noah eats breakfast at the coffee table in the lounge sitting on his chair, like they do at nursery. But he always eats dinner at the dining room table, every night.
Mind you, he barely eats anything ever...

Sarah eats in her booster seat at the table.
Last week when she was sick I made the mistake of letting her eat while lounging on the couch. This week has been non-stop temper tantrums about eating at the table. Lesson learned!
