Where do you buy your outdoor palnts, shrubs, etc?
we have bought some already but are still looking for hardy stock, yet not bank-breaking, places!!

i went to hicks in westbury and home depot and both were pretty reasonable

We have had 0 luck with home depot flowers, plants and shrubs, we took a ride out east by exit 62 I believe on the LIE there is a place called cheap sams- they have EVERYTHING and the prices are a hell of a lot cheaper than the stores or nurserys, but they are not cheap cheap but you will def save lots of $$$, what we payed for 1000k would have cost us 2100 at home depot and the sizes dont even compare!!! you can get a 6ft shrub for the price of a 3- or 4ft one in home depot or the nurserys. its a hike but well worth it!!!

Hubby gets his at wholesale nurseries, such as Bisset.
We have gotten a few at Garden Depot in Coram

I too drove out to Cheap Sam's two weekends ago. Prices are OK better than some nursery's.
Home Depot and Lowe's have good prices but not always a great selection. Not a huge fan of Home Depot, lines are too long. And Lowe's is too far of a drive.
Bissett is great if your a contractor or in the landscape bushiness. Nothing can beat Wholesale prices and the quailty!

Bought some yesterday at a Nursery on Pulaski Rd. in E. Northport - right near the intersection of Pulaski and Elwood. BEAUTIFUL, big and full impatients for $15 a flat, which is a couple bucs more than Home Depot and they look SO SO SO much nicer.

I've been buying them mainly at Home Depot or Lowe's...just the other day I bought some very pretty marigolds at Kmart. Other than that I'll buy at local nurserys...which I won't bother to mention because I live in PA!

I dont know exactly but if you are on the lie going east you can see it on your left hand side off the lie.

Hang the loop by the Island 16 onto 97 to the LIE North Service Road West, make a right on the block before the gas station (Gulf I think), it is right there.
