When you stay overnight somewhere

where does your DC sleep?

We are thinking of visiting some friends and need to stay overnight for 3 nights. We do not co-sleep. We have a PNP, but I'm not sure if she'll sleep in it all night. She's only really slept in her crib.

Is there such a thing as a travel crib? or do you think the PNP will be ok?

I'm so nervous about her not sleeping esp with other people and babies that she can disturb.

When DD stays overnight with her grandparents, she stays in the pack and play. She's done fine in it.

Re: When you stay overnight somewhere

We slept out last night and Ava slept NO problem in her pack n play. I was reluctant to stay out because I didn't think she'd sleep so well, but she was the last one upChat Icon She never would have slept in bed with me.

This is the reason I dont stay overnight anywhere, never have with DS. He will not sleep anywhere except his crib and thats after being rocked to sleep. So unless I bring the glider and his crib with his lullabyes playing all night... it just aint happenin.... Chat Icon I've learned to accept that.. but good luck. I'm sure your DC will sleep fine in the PNP... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: When you stay overnight somewhere

I have a DD that will only sleep in her crib at home. She wil scream when she is tired untill we put her in her crib. But when we aren't at home she does great in her PNP.

Re: When you stay overnight somewhere

DS is a very finicky sleeper but he did well in the PNP when we went to in-laws house in the Poconos. We made sure to bring his numerous teddy bears so he could curl up....Chat Icon

nothing wrong with cosleeping - my DH is just an animal when he sleeps and I'm scared for my life - put it this way, the cat no longer sleeps with usChat Icon

The PNP. We never co-slept, and they've always slept in their cribs, except for 1 trip when Sarah was 5 months old when she slept in the PNP.

Last weekend we stayed at a hotel for 2 nights and I thought for sure they wouldn't sleep since we were all in one room and their PNPs were right next to each other. They went right to sleep no problem.

Re: When you stay overnight somewhere

We have always used the pack n play when we go away. She never sleeps in it at home and has had no problems sleeping in it while away. If she has a favorite blanket or toy she sleeps with, bring that!!

We always bring a nighlight with us too since she has one in her room.

pack and play...I bring extra blankets though to stick under the padded pnp sheet. then I put a linen sheet ontop of that to make it more cushiony..is that a word?Chat Icon
