when you fly and bring a infant car seat

do you also bring the base or do you just lock them in using the car seat without the base?

Re: when you fly and bring a infant car seat

We just brought the infant seat without the base and strapped it into the rental car.

ETA - We gate checked the infant seat and DS sat on my lap for the flight (not sure if you were talking about on the plane or once you got there).

I think we're going to bring the base, I don't know how to do it without. Plus I would think it would be safer.

We never bring the base with us when we fly. It's super easy to secure the seat alone in any car.

It's actually really easy. I read the carseat manual before we travelled and then read the users manual in the car.

I was torn on bringing the base when we went but, in the end, it was so much easier not having something extra to bring.
