When you buy a new home is there a deadline for applying for STAR?
We closed on 10/30 and I was wondering if there was a time limit that we have to apply for STAR. TIA!

YES! Each township has a different deadline. Some are Jan 1. I live in the Town of Brookhaven and there's is March 1.
Best to get all the paperwork done and handed in ASAP!
Oh, and before you can submit it, you need to change your licenses to your new address and make a copy of them to include in the application.
Some Town web sites have the application on them for you to download and complete.

Each town is different, so you'd have to check their websites or give them a call. Town of Oyster Bay's deadline is January 2.

We closed Oct 4th and my deadline is March of 2008
