When you are sick, does your OB/GYN see you???
I have a respiratory infection..its awful. I am wondering.....do i call my OB/GYN OR primary care physician??
The OB/GYN takes a while to respond with a problem...but my primary has no appointments open...
just curious! thanks!!

I have my second upper respiratory infection in 3 weeks and my ob told me to go to my primary b/c he wanted me to get a throat culture. If the primary has to write a rx make sure he/she calls your ob/gyn to make sure you can take what they want to prescribe to you.

When i had strep when i was 5 months pregnant, i saw my OB, she did the cultures and the prescription. I havent been to my primary at all since i have been pregnant.
ETA: i think i prefer my Ob because thats all she deals with is pregnant woman.

I just called my OB to let her know I was going to my Primary Care Physician when I was sick.

I had the same thing late last year, my OB told me to see my PCP and then call him with the prescription so he could make sure he was comfortable with it.

I had to go to my primary care for a sinus infection. Make sure to tell the doctor that you're pregnant (if you're not showing)
