When will you/did you book your baby's christening
Both with the church & venue?
My baby is due in August & we were thinking of having the Christening in November. When do you think is a good time to start planning everything?

I think it depends on how big of an event it will be, and depends on your church. Often you need to take a parents class and get paperwork from godparents, so check with your church.
We are still trying to find a church we like. We are seeing another one today (since it's ash wed.)
ETA: Baby is due end of March, hoping to have small baptism in June/Early July

I am due in March and booked the church last month for July 5th. We are doing it at my IL's so I will finalize the caterers, tent/table rentals and decore/favors/invitations in April/May.
I planned my DD#1 in utero as well. I was due April and planned it in December.

I am due July. We are still deciding if we will have one (I'm Jewish DH is Catholic). But, if we do it will be in September and I figure I will start discussions with the church sometime in May. I figure they will have a hard time getting back to me anyway between communions and weddings so better start early.

I'm due the end of april and hope to have the baptism in June.
the church by us only performs baptisms ever 3rd Sat of the month, and they'll take as many babies as sign up that month so we don't really have much of choice since we were looking to baptize  at either 2 or 3 months.
We've gotten preliminary prices from a couple of places so far but probably won't book till the baby is born. Since I'll have scoped out all the places by then, I'll just send my mom to finalize the reception

I'm due in April and was thinking of having it in July or August. I wasn't planning on calling the church until after the baby is born. I think my church holds baptisms twice a month on Sundays.
I figured I would call the church and look a couple of places for the reception while I'm out on maternity leave.
