When do you introduce water to a breastfed baby?

I never have given her water, but I want to introduce a sippy cup.

Just wondering when other BF moms introduced water.

My Dr told me to give him 1oz/ day at his 3 day old check up....

When I stopped BFing I continued to do the same thing....

I say@ 6 months old- a little water in a sippy cup would be a good idea!

I gave Noah water when the weather was hot, but while he was BF'ed you shouldn't need to give them water, BM is mostly water

I started giving her water at 6 months in her sippy cup, just 1 oz, she doesn't really drink it, she mostly just plays with the cup and bites on the cup

I've been giving her water in a sippy since I started giving her solids, around 4 1/2 - 5 months. She is 8 months and still doesn't drink a lot but I am getting her used to the sippy since she never had a bottle and I didn't want to start giving her one.

How about trying BM in a sippy cup first. If she likes it then you can try a little water.
