Around 5 months with Katherine, but it was wintertime and I think she really needed it.
Abigail is 4 months and I recently stopped swaddling for naps and since it's been so warm and she doesn't seem to need the swaddle as much (and we have no a/c in her room), I leave her arms out of it at night. I think we're just about done and will probably be moving her into the sleep sack soon.
ETA: She sleeps on her tummy too, so that's another reason I'm getting rid of it.

I think I read you are supposed to stop around 5 or 6 months.
My kid never took to it though.

Almost exactly at his 3 month birthday.
It was more due to size and squirm issues than anything else.
I think it really is true that they let you know when it's time to stop.

With both DD's around 5 months...
Ellie still gets swaddled, but I keep one arm out at night so that she can suck her thumb. She's almost 5 months old, and I can tell that she is getting ready to stop.

we did it until 5 mos. we probably could have stopped earlier, but she seemed to still sleep better with it. on her 5mos birthday, she started rolling over so we figured that was a good sign :)
We would try it occasionally until then with not so good results, so we just decided to be patient until she was ready. And she slept all night fine :)
