When did you start Cheerios?

The doctors gave us the ok today to start a bunch of things and one of them was Cheerios. But Kiera doesn't have any teeth. They said it's fine because she'll **** on them but I always thought they needed teeth first?

I'm wondering at what age did you start cheerios and zwieback toast and did your baby have teeth or did they just gum it.

Funny that you posted this question. I was wondering the same thing. I just started Emily on the Veggie puffs yesterday. I tried them two weeks ago and she gagged. She will be ten months old on Sunday, and she only has one tooth. The veggie puffs melt in their mouths. I thought the cheerios were crunchier. I was going to try them and see. Maybe start by breaking the cheerio in half? When I first tried Em on the Veggie puffs she played with them and didn't know to put them in her mouth. I had to put them in her mouth. Yesterday, I put them on her tray and she took them and put them in her mouth. She did **** on them. But she didn't gag. So, try it and see if Kiera likes it and if she gags, wait awhile. I started Jenna with the puffs around 8 months old and then cheerios (I cut them in half first because I was nervous nellie). Now that she's mastered those Jenna has had Wagon Wheels, Cereal Snacking Squares (LOVES those) as well as table food cut up small. She gags a bit if I cook her egg TOO much though.

Nick is almost 9 months old and he eats the Gerber puffs, Wagon Wheels, Biter Biscuits, bread and bananas. He loves them! I was really nervous at first giving them to him too....I started about one month ago.

Oh - and he does not have any teeth either.

WE started early on these things... Andrew had Gerber puffs by 6 months, Cheerios around 7 months, and all the rest by 8 months. Yes, he had teeth early, but they don't need teeth to mash the food with their gums.

I only recently started giving Amber Cheerios and she's doing pretty good with them (although she prefers to throw them on the floor and laugh as the dogs scramble for them). I was giving her puffs and wagon wheels around 7-8 months (under supervision of course ).

MArissa is 9 months old I started her on the puffs and when she was about 7 months old the cherios I started her around 8 1/2 months but I break them in 1/2 and give them to her she s*cks on them and they disolve now I give h er the entire cherio she has 3 teeth. My doctor also gave me the ok to give her table food s o I break up what we are eating really tiny and give it to her and she lvoes it she hardley ever eats baby food anymore and its the best thing

i started them last night. he is 8 1/2 months. gerber puffs about a month ago.
