When did you notice your DC's acid reflux/spitting up getting better
DS had a horrible night last night and even this morning has been horrible. He spit up A LOT and this morning was the same thing.
I had to change his clothes like 3 times within a 1/2 hour and my PJ twice.
He is on Prevacid im not sure if that is supposed to control the spitting up. He still seems so uncomfy when eating. Its like I know when he will spit up because as I am feeding he me is so squirmy and doesnt suck on teh bottle. Sure enough, when I got to burp him, out comes a big spit up.

 I know what you're going through! DS has acid reflux and protein sensitivity and we finally noticed a big difference at 3 and a half months. We barely give him his medicine and he barely spits up anymore. It was rough getting to that point, but now he's like a whole new baby! Good luck

Axid and Neocate are our miracles (though she still spits up quite often), but my pediatrician told me at our visit this month that 8 months is often the miracle number and if she hasn't needed an increase in dosage by 8 months, she may have outgrown the reflux. At 6 months, we aren't there yet, since she still spits up if we are late at all with her dosage. Good luck!

7 months!
same here. as per her doc we tried to stop the meds at 6 months and that was a mess! but at 7 months it went off w/o a hitch!

8 months is when DS finally stopped needing the meds. There is a thing as a "Happy Spitter" - maybe he's feeling better, but still spits up??

I've read that the meds only help with the discomfort, not the spit up. My DD spit up until over a year old. But she wasn't unhappy.

As soon as he started sitting up on his own - about 5 months - it got significantly better. By 7 months it was almost all gone and by 8 months he rarely spit up if at all.

My DD significantly improved with the Neocate formula and by the time she got a little bigger, non existant...She is 6.5 months...so, i would say around 3-4 months it got better and she used to throw up on me all the time etc...it was horrible, i seriously have nightmare about those early months..

7 months big difference, less spit up and less laundry for me! Then at 7.5 months, totally gone!!!!
