When did you (do you plan to) start brushing DC's teeth?

I feel like this is something I should be doing since DD has 7 teeth now. Do I use toothpaste? (I don't think so ..)

We have to do this too, DS has a million teeth.

I think there is toddler toothpaste.

We started at about 9 months old.

First we used the finger brush then moved on to the 1 st stage toothbrush.

We use Earth's Best as most other toothpastes contain saccharine.

ETA: You need to use a toddler toothpaste that is safe for them to swallow.

As soon as she got her first tooth. They sell baby toothpaste and brush sets.

In all honesty, we did it very irregularly until she was about 2 years old then we made it part of her bedtime routine and she does it every night now.

I've been brushing DS's teeth since he got his first one in. I used Orajel training toothpaste. To encourage him, I would brush my teeth with him, now DS brushes all by himself!

We regularly started just recently. We tried earlier but DD HATED it.
Now at 16 months she has no choice but to deal with me brushing her teeth. She will eventually get used to me doing it. She has 10 teeth and they have to be brushed.

I started a few months ago (don't remember exactly when).
He still kind of moves around (like mommy get this away from me), but, I found if I give him the toothbrush, he likes to "help".
We use the training toothpaste (safe to swallow).

It's part of his bedtime routine.

my ds's ped. said no toothpaste. i've been using a wash cloth since he was itty bitty on his gums to get him used to it. well at 15 months he still hates it and doesn't let me near him with a toothbrush. he will however "brush" (chew on the toothbrush) himself.

DS has no teeth but I have been meaning to start massaging his gums with a baby toothbrush. We have some teething toys that we do that with and the ped. says that it's great to soothe them and get them used to it. Our ped. says to use a toddler safe toothpaste but I would not use a lot.

I started brushing DS's teeth at about 1 year when a lot of his teeth came in.

I've been doing it since they grew in

I rub them w/a wash cloth day & night and then brush them with the toothbrush (just to get him used to it) DH says the washcloth gets enough off for now (he is a dentist).

You should definitely be wiping them down at least.

eta: no adult toothpaste.

We're behind on this too. We try with a little toothbrush, doesn't usually go very well. I need to be more vigilant about it. I don't plan on using toothpaste I don't think.

We've been wiping his teeth and gums with a washcloth (he's 8.5 months), but the baby toothbrush I bought for him is way too big for his teeth/mouth at this point.

There is baby toothpaste, but I wanted to ask his doctor about it before trying.

He hates it--fights me every step of the way. I'm trying to think of a way to make it fun for him.

wE just started - DS has 2 teeth.

I rubbed DS gums since about 6 weeks. He got his first two teeth at 4 months,, so I have been brushing ever since.
