Hmmm...tough call.
If it was my MIl, I would say yes because she would supervise him, etc. I would probably let him go so he can have some fun....but my MIL isn't your MIL.

Why don't you go with him and your MIL? She may want to "show him off" a bit - OK I know he's not a trophy but he is her grandson and I'm sure she's very proud of him. I also understand it's your day off and you want to spend time with him but he may enjoy himself there! Even if you stay for 1 hour (tell her you have to take him to the dr's for a shot or something..) but I think he would enjoy it and your MIL will be happy.

we recently took our 2 yr old there...and my husband had to do everything with him...otherwise he was too small, to do it alone and be safe...especially with some bigger kids playing in the tubes and slides. So unless your mother in law is going to climb into the tubes with you son...I wouldn't let him go either.

These type of parties are only an hour and a half long... I know that I need to get Jacob out of the house for somepoint or he would go nuts in the house.. This would give him an outlet to run around for that hour and be with other kids...
I would suggest to see if you can go with MIL then you both get to see him have a great time.. and you don't look like the bad one in saying no..

But I know exactly what fun 4 all was like- and Ryan isnt even 2- he isnt even 15 months yet

I agree with you Marissa. If she starts an arguement...well we knnow she will start an arguement with you, ask her does she realize what this place is like and that it is not age appropriate for him? She will have to chase after the entire time.
