What type of dress for a 60th Birthday at Leonards of Great Neck?
I have a couple of cocktail dresses but the person throwing the party said that men are likely going to be wearing slacks and jackets and not necessarily suits. How formal/casual would you go with a dress then? Its a Saturday night event.

i'd still wear a dress... probably a wrap-type dress, not a wedding-like cocktail dress

I would still wear a cocktail dress. The setting, day and time itself dicates that you won't be overdressed even if other people are more casual

Yeah, I figured that I'd have to get another dress. All these dresses I have are formal-like. Oh well! Another excuse to get a new dress

This is what I was telling my mom too! I'm just afraid to be the only over dressed one. LOL

I agree with the PPs, I'd wear a cocktail dress. Sat night + RH=cocktail dress
