What type of class do you suggest?

DS is 2 and for Christmas my mom wants to give us money for a class for DS.

I'd like something with a little bit of separation if possible....

TIA!

Re: What type of class do you suggest?

What about swimming? C took swimming this summer (1:1 with a private instructor) and LOVED it and did really well...unfortunately due to the summer ending, the class is done (outside pool)...so I need to find swimming somewhere else, to keep the continuity.

I know Saf-T-Swim has a bunch of classes but haven't looked into them yet.

I think swimming is a great idea. We will be taking Jack for classes starting in March.

Otherwise, I know that Gymboree has Art classes....maybe that is something he would like?

Both of mine love art classes. The whole way home they will be telling me what they made and who they want to give it to.

I say swimming. My 2 year old DS fell in a pool (with tons of family around of course!) but it was the worst 3 seconds of my life seeing him just fall in and stay face down sinking without doing anything for himself.

I never realized how important swimming lessons would be. I plan on enrollling both kids soon.

Actually, I was thinking swimming as well.

How did you like the 1-1?

And we should sign them up for the same class so we can gab during itChat Icon

Re: What type of class do you suggest?

DD has been going to swimming (1 on 1 instructor) since she was 3 months old and seems to really enjoy it! Even though she is almost 11 months now, she is not afraid to go in a pool and loves to splash around. At 2 years old, I would think that your DS would realy get a lot out of it!! Try a free class to see if he likes it before signing up. We use Saf-t Swim in Bohemia on Oakdale-Bohemia Rd and 454. Chat Icon

She LOVED the 1:1 class. It was a Special Ed teacher DH works with who's also a swim instructor. She was AWESOME with her...she learned so much. I am seriously bummed that it's over Chat Icon C would say "Christine would be so proud of me" when she'd kick in the bathtub!

The instructor said she'd continue doing it if we found an indoor pool we could use, so I'm hoping to do that, but I doubt it will work out Chat Icon

We should totally sign up for the same class Chat Icon

Isn't it obvious?

Re: What type of class do you suggest?

I would totally do 1 on 1 swim lessons ESPECIALLY since you head out to MTK a lot over the summer. You just want him to get the hang of "swimming" KWIM?

I'm doing one on one for Bella this fall since I won't be able to.
