What to do regarding gifts for second child's birthday
We have Tyler's First Birthday party coming up in a month.
The invitations went out and already everyone is asking me what to get him. The kid needs nothing. For those of you who don't know me, I have every single toy ever made from my first son. You name it - I have it.
What do I tell people to buy him?

You could ask for clothes, books, gift cards, dvds. Hope people give you gift receipts and then return and get store credit where you can.

We have more books than a bookstore! DVD's too (and they would only end up being for Jack since Ty doesn't watch two seconds of TV  )
Maybe I will just say GC's and bonds. He also has loads of clothes

Welcome to my life! I am "asking" for gift certificates or clothes. Hopefully if people get him toys, they will give gift receipts  . Like you, I have very single toy made form DS1!

I was going to ask this same exact question. Rylan has every toy possible already and we have no more room for anymore. Epecially since we're taking out all of the infant stuff that was packed away. He also doesn't need any clothes because he's fitting into Rylans old clothes...and Rylan has A LOT of clothes...lol.
I'm probably going to ask for GC's and hope for the best...lol.

I'm in the same boat you're in -- anything DS#2 gets, DS#1 takes anyway.
I'm going to ask people to give younger DS swim lessons and/or activity classes instead of toys or books....

i'm in the same boat, i have 2 boys 2 yrs apart, same season. so we need nothing!
i'd love to ask for gift cards but i don't think anyone would like that in my family/friends. so i end up praying for gift receipts and usually don't get them.
