What should I expect at my very 1st dr. appt??

I was just wondering what they do at the first visit after a BFP...do they just do a pregnancy test or other stuff too? Thanks! Trying to figure out how much time I need for the appt.

Well my dr. wouldn't see me until 8 wks & then at that point she took blood, weight, urine, bp and we got to see peanut on the sonogram.

Ours was at 8 weeks too. We got to see the heartbeat and the peanut on a sono. It was a relief to see that the baby was indeed in the uterus. They also gave a pregnancy test before the sono (which my husband laughed at because it was the dollar tree test). Then I was sent for about 10 vials of blood to be drawn. The doctor started me on pre-natals and answered the billion questions we had.

I was due for a PAP, so I got that too

Thanks! Im only four and a half weeks, but my doctor is seeing me tomorrow...I was just wondering what to expect. They wouldnt do a sonogram that early, right?

My 1st visit was at 4 wks 2d. They did a blood test and a urine sample to confirm BFP. They gave me a list of food to avoid, a timeline for visits, etc...

1st sono was at 8 wks.
