What qualifies a person to be considered conceited?
I'm curious because a friend of mine seems to come off this way and I'm wondering what other women think makes a person conceited.

ok..in actions I'm curious, because what was mentioned to me about this friend is she's always in the mirror, and is just conceited. I don't know if the 2nd part of that convinces me that she is...you know? I'm wondering if it's more of a jealousy thing from my other friend than her actually being conceited. She is very pretty...maybe that's why? Actually they both are..but one is a little more overweight than the other.

It's a fine line. She obviously takes pride in her appearance. I feel when that crosses over into making others feel less than thats when it turns to conceit.

being confident is sometimes a double-edged sword.
I guess maybe it's when people boast about it.
I am not sure. some people think I am conceited. I know that I am not.
do I think highly of myself? Yes.
does that mean I think lowly of everyone else? No.
I may be wittier than someone who may be better at crocheting...
it all equals out in the end.
our strengths and weaknesses, pluses and minuses equal us all out.
unless of course you are me...who is awesome at everything.

if this other friend is "insecure" she will feel insecure around the friend who is "prettier" no matter what.
the fact that the friend 'knows" she is pretty adds insult to injury to the "homely" girl (I am just calling her homely for ease of reading)
it's unfair on both extremes.

that's different. hmm....I guess it depends on the person...some people do act like their sh1t doesn't stink.
I guess it's when confidence leads to blindness to ones faults...

I think it's when someone KNOWS how great they are and feels the need to share it with others. It's one thing to be confident and proud, but it pushes the line when it spills out of their mouths.
