what led to you switching dc to sensitive formula...aside from spitting up?
DS is having some gas, and it seems like maybe a sensitive formula would be better. His one month apt is tonight so I will ask ped...
just curious what made you go to sensitive formula, how fast you noticed improvement...
thanks!

I started with EBF and DS was very fussy. I just thought he was a fussy baby until my DH suggested we try enfamil gentle ease and it made such a difference. We saw a big difference with in the first day or so. Good luck!!

Re: what led to you switching dc to sensitive formula...aside from spitting up?
I switched my DS to sensitive because I had already been down that road with my DD.. she was fussy, gassy, constipated, wouldn't finish a bottle without a fight and it was just pure torture. She wound up on alimentum.
When DS was born DH and I were fearful that he'd need such an expensive formula (my insurance wouldn't cover it) and he started acting the same way. Luckily sensitive worked for him.

We went from advance to soy to sensitive. She was spitting up and having weird poops. Diarrhea, weird colors not normal nb poop and the ped agreed.

most babies have gas and most babies spit up some more than others no matter what formula they are on the digestive system is just learning to work.

This is exactly what my ped said when I brought up concerns about DDs gas. That said, I put her on Enfamil Gentlease for the gas and because she was pretty fussy. She's now on Nutramigen because she was colic.

Re: what led to you switching dc to sensitive formula...aside from spitting up?
We moved DS pretty early on because of gas. We went from Similac Advance to Enfamil Gentlease and it made a huge difference.
As he got older though, we discovered he was lactose sensitive and we moved him to Similac Sensitive - which helped with the lactose sensitivity but, made him super gassy.

Re: what led to you switching dc to sensitive formula...aside from spitting up?
DS was on similac advance and I switched him to similac sensitive when he was about a month old. I took it upon myself..didnt ask the ped or anything. He was just so gassy that I figured it had to help and wouldnt hurt. It seemed to help a bit but now it seems he has reflux so we might have to do soemthing else for that.

Gassy, fussy and constipation. The regular formula did not agree with her at all.
