What kind of acne face wash can I use?
My skin has always broken out. I was using a prescription face wash and gel before I got PG, and now I don't know what to use. I have used Murad and Pro-activ in the past, but I'm guessing those are not safe to use. Since becoming PG, I have been using Cetaphil face wash and moisturizer. This was working great for me until I entered my second trimester. All of a sudden my skin started breaking out again. I need suggestions!! Thanks!!

I was having skin problems too, as I'm also prone to acne. Dr says I cant use ProActive. I know this sounds crazy, but I've been using Anti-Bac hand soap on my face, and I feel like it is working. Could be leveling out of the hormones too, but...
My doc recommended clearasil too. I think anything over the counter is pretty safe. Stay away from Biore - my face was a mess on that!

Thanks for the info!! I guess I will either call or ask at my next appt, if I can use over the counter acne wash. I hope I can use something!!

I use Clean and Clear and my doctor said that is fine  My breakouts are better but I still look like I am going through puberty. WHOO HOO!

I use this, too. I find it's the only thing that really cleans my face (makeup too!) but doesn't dry out my skin. And (score!) it's cheap, too!

I use Dove Bar soap and Purpose Moisturizer - which I started using at the dermatologist's suggestion while taking accutane (in college) ..........Works great for me and I've been doing this for years ........
Witch hazel is also a good astringent, and believe it or not, bacitracin works on the acne that has already come out .........

I also started using Clean and Clear and have noticed a huge difference in my skin!

I use Belly fash wash, its made especially for pregnant women. Got it at drugstore.com
